Course content
Teaching consists of talks, cases, hands-on and solution-design workshops. Familiarity with prompts, APIs and AI tools is an advantage but not a requirement.
The course covers the following topics:
Module 1: Generative AI vs. Agentic AI: concept and practice
- Review of the most popular generative AI models today: GPT-5, Copilot, Gemini, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Llama and Mistral
- What is an AI agent and how does it differ from AI models
- Introduction to low-code agentic flow models: n8n, Relay.app, Flowise, OpenClaw, Perplexity Computer
- Real-world use-case examples of companies using generative AI and AI agents
Module 2: Prompt engineering for multimodal models and AI agents
- Prompting techniques for multimodal models and AI agents: zero-/few-shot, chain-of-thought, role prompting, structuring text, image, audio and video input, context management and iterative prompt optimisation
- Hands-on group exercises
Module 3: Strategy and design of your first prototype
- How do you build an AI strategy? From AI Business Canvas to practical implementation
- From strategy to designing your first AI agent. Setting up your PC or Mac
- Hands-on: build your first AI agent for a concrete task
- Group feedback on the models
Module 4: Ethics, bias and legislation
- Challenges with bias in training data and how to minimise negative effects
- Legislation and ethics around the use of AI solutions
- Human-in-the-loop design: where and how
- How to ensure transparency and accountability in AI solutions
